When Mayor Borer asked me to contribute by writing a page showcasing West Haven’s sporting history, I felt incredibly honored.

The New York Sports Show today announced that its branding will be featured in NASCAR 26, the upcoming official NASCAR video game scheduled for release on September 15, 2026.

This team was known for participating in local leagues and was part of the rich baseball culture in the New Haven area.

“The speedway was great; the speedway was awesome,” says the now-68-year-old Babineau as he continues to work on the car and preserving West Haven history over 700-miles away.

What began as a passion project centered around West Haven, Connecticut sports history has quickly evolved into one of the most talked-about local sports books.
