Yankees Can Dethrone Failing Blue Jays In Final Four Games

Postseason bound and now tied with the Blue Jays – wow! This week cannot get any better for a New York Yankee fan. Wait a second - IT ACTUALLY CAN!?!

The Yankees are tied with the Blue Jays with a 90-68 record as there are four games left of the season. Toronto holds the tie-breaker over New York for winning the regular season series, so the Yankees need to win one more game than the Jays to clinch the AL East.

Now you can make a very legitimate argument that a wild card berth is the best way to go for the Yankees. We have seen time and time again that teams with byes tend to have cold bats and struggle with wild card teams staying sharp.

Nonetheless, New York will see playoff baseball in what was a season that saw a horrific June-mid August. The bats are clicking and starting pitching has been lock-down and from the looks of it over the past several games, the bullpen has gotten consistent once again at being above average.

New York’s final four games feature the final game against the White Sox where we can see a Yankees sweep and then a three-game set vs the Orioles.

Toronto’s final four will see them try to avoid being swept by the Red Sox in what has been a lopsided series, and then they will have a three-game set vs the Rays.
