Cade Klubnik Has Perfect Passing Day In First OTA Look

Cade Klubnik completed all of his passes during his run of 7-on-7 today. The fourth round draftee by New York completed all four of his passes. Klubnik favored his tight ends, hitting Jelani Woods twice, along with Mason Taylor and Jeremy Ruckert.
Klubnik also went 4-for-4 passing during his 11-on-11’s, making him the only Jets quarterback today to have a perfect passing practice, he would later also go 4-for-4 again for his second 7-on-7 look, giving the young slinger a perfect 12-for-12 day.
Geno Smith went 2-for-3 during 7-on-7’s and 4-for-5 during his 11-on-11’s. Bailey Zappe had one incompletion during his 7-on-7’s, but was a perfect 4-for-4 during his 11-man practice.
Jets head coach Aaron Glenn said that it’s an “open competition” for New York’s QB2 position, which currently has Klubnik, Brady Cook and Bailey Zappe competing for. The Jets reportedly want to give Klubnik a chance at QB2 before potentially signing a veteran backup.
