Rangers Hockey A Laughingstock While In Season Break

The New York Rangers are crashing harder than the 2008 stock market. Some thought that after trading away Artemi Panarin that the team would start seeing an upside. Instead New York sits very comfortably in last place in the Metro, eight points away from their closest team.

Ranger fans you can kiss playoff hockey goodbye as their current 22-29-6 record is making sure of it. February 5th, showcased a 2-0 shutout loss for their 29th loss of the season, which was their ninth shutout overall this season and seventh of which has come at home.
Now in break, New York is tasked with one thing when the season resumes later this month: survive. The Rangers are currently on a four game losing streak so when the season resumes it needs to be snapped and fast. I know it's much easier said than done though.
New York’s first three games when the season resumes on February 26th, will see the Blueshirts face the Flyers, Penguins and Blue Jackets – all three of which play in the same season and already have 25 or more wins.
Just getting out of last place in itself is a hard task due to the hole they dug themselves. Don’t embarrass the team anymore this season, that’s all us fans ask. I am sick and tired of hearing players say postgame that they were “outplayed,” no kidding you were outplayed that is why you lost.
It’s frustrating to watch the New York Rangers play. The lack of defense and an offense as inconsistent as New England weather has strung the Rangers to what has been a miserable season thus far. As things stand in the break, New York is 2-8 in their last 10 played and have a -29 scoring differential contributed in what was a four game skid going into the mid-season break.
