August 8th, 2022: New York Yankees third baseman Matt Carpenter will be sidelined for about six weeks due to a foot fracture. During the Yankees-Mariners game in the top of the first inning Matt Carpenter fouled a ball off his back left foot. The impact of the ball was enough to fracture the foot, taking the Yankees’ power hitter out of the game.
