The presence of Malik Nabers is a game changer for the New York Giants. Sunday saw New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh telling reporters that Nabers would be shedding his red jersey in part of attempting to be fully in playing condition for Week 1 against Dallas.

Nabers suffered a serious double injury in Week 4 of last season, which saw him tear his ACL and meniscus.  The star wide receiver would later undergo a cleanup surgery for scar tissue in the spring and has been practicing with the red non-contact jersey for a little more than a week. Overall, Nabers has been participating in full-speed 11-on-11 and 7-on-7 drills with the red jersey and is yet to appear in a preseason game.

This doesn’t yet mean that he will be cleared for all activity right from the get-go of this announcement, but now Nabers is closing in on the final stages of his recovery with all signs pointing towards him being available come Sept.13 against the Cowboys.
