The Hartford Wolf Pack has unveiled a 30th anniversary logo showcasing their time in Connecticut since 1996.
The logo, which displays a dominant fierce wolf in the middle, while also displaying three roman numeral “X” marks in the background. The roman numeral triple XXX signifies 30 years of Wolf Pack hockey. On the bottom are ocean waves, to showcase the team’s naval roots, along with the rich naval and sub-marine history in the state of Connecticut.

The Hartford Wolf Pack name pays homage and honors the historic submarine attack tactic known as ‘wolfpack hunting’ which was made famous primarily in World War Two. Connecticut has a rich history of submarine manufacturing, with Groton being centered in submarine history and Naval Submarine Base New London, being home to 16 attack submarines across two squadrons. Overall, the state is known as the “Submarine Capital of the World”.
The Hartford Wolf Pack came to Hartford after the Binghamton Rangers relocated and rebranded. The team would play at the vacated Hartford Civic Center (known today as the PeoplesBank Arena), and would be named as the Hartford Wolf Pack after the name won a “name-the-team” contest. The team would rebrand for a short time to the Connecticut Whale, paying homage to the former Hartford Whalers from 2010-2013, before reverting back to the Wolf Pack name.
The Wolf Pack, the New York Rangers AHL affiliate, now stand as the only AHL team in the state after the Bridgeport Islanders relocated after the 2025/26 AHL season to Canada.
