Justin Fields will miss his first game as a Jet as Gang Green goes into Week 3 for their first road affair.

New York will take on Tampa Bay as it is a tale of two teams going into this matchup. The Jets are looking for their first win as the Buccaneers look to remain undefeated. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The Jets will be without their franchise guy in Justin Fields, who is out for at least this game with a concussion he sustained in the late minutes of the Week 2 Buffalo game. Tyrod Taylor gets the call to start, marking what will be his first start for the Jets in his career.

The start for Taylor makes him the first quarterback in pro football history to start at least one game for all three New York football teams. The journeyman started a career-high 43 games with Buffalo, 5 for the Giants and now at least 1 for the Jets in what is his age 36 season.

Taylor’s action vs Buffalo in Week 2 saw him go 7-for-11 passing with 56 yards and recording the only Jets touchdown. Last season, Taylor appeared in two games for Gang Green in ‘garbage time,’ where he recorded 17 completions in 22 attempts for 3 touchdowns.
