Jeremy Sochan will be getting sized for a ring by the end of the 2026 NBA Finals, but the logo and team branding will be dictated in the upcoming best-of-seven game set.

The former lottery pick was waived by the San Antonio Spurs on February 11th, becoming a free agent prematurely. Sochan would sign with the Knicks two days later on the 13th, and get 10 minutes of court time during his Knick debut.

Overall, the 23-year-old’s season has been a fairly quiet one. Appearing in 44 regular season games, with the bulk 28 of them coming as a member of the Spurs, saw Sochan average 3.6 points in 10.7 minutes. Sochan also averaged 2.4 total rebounds in the 44-game span as well. He decided to sign with the Knicks with the expectation that he would get a larger role and increased playing time, but would wind up averaging roughly six minutes less as a Knick than he did as a Spur per-game.

So far in five playoff games for New York, Sochan’s limited role has continued. The Polish-American only has attempted shots in three-out-of-five games and overall is 7-for-8 shooting (.875 FG%), and is averaging under 4.5 minutes per-game.

Sochan’s guaranteed championship makes him just the fourth player in NBA history that is eligible to receive a ring before Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
