Oh, Buffalo. Thank you for FINALLY settling the multi-decade long debate as to if you Bills are a legitimate New York franchise.

The Buffalo Bills posted a very anti-New York message after the New York Yankees took down the Boston Red Sox in game three of the AL Wild Card. The Bills social media team posted a graphic they made of Blue Jays star Vlad Guerrero Jr., next to star quarterback Josh Allen, with the above text reading “Good luck in the playoffs Blue Jays.”

The Toronto Blue Jays will be taking on the New York Yankees in a best-of-five series for the ALDS, where the winning team just needs to take 3/5 games. Over the past several years the rivalry between New York and the only Canadian MLB team has seen its highest of heights.

I do think it is safe to say that the social media post ends the whole “Buffalo is New York’s team” talk. Frankly, as the founder and reporter of the New York Sports Show and being just a true avid New York sports fan myself, it is so embarrassing to see a New York-based team root AGAINST the Yankees.

I mean seriously. I don’t care how upstate you are, Buffalo. You are based in New York and play in unarguably one of the top 5 cities in the state. They want to root for the Jays’ so badly, why not just relocate and give Canada even more playoff teases. I guess the Bills took themselves being compared to the NFL Maple Leafs to a whole other level.
