Islanders’ AHL winger William Dufour could find himself as a regular in New York for the 2023/23 season.

Dufour’s above average 1-2 combo of physicality and shooting talent would fit right in with a potential 2nd or 3rd line role.
Last season with Bridgeport, Dufour had 48 total points from 21 goals and 27 assists. Overall, a -13 would also stand on his stat line with the playoff-missing Bridgeport Islanders. He did make one appearance in the NHL last season, but the lone game featured all donuts and a -2 minus.
The 21-year-old has a close-up attack, making life hard for defenders and goalies. Dufour has dominated junior hockey, being an all-star in the QMJHL. He can be a legitimate long-term impact to the Islanders, if given consistent playing time.
