Why Trading Julius Randle Is Not Possible

Julius Randle went from being the king of New York to public enemy #1 in a matter of a year. After putting up an impressive 2020/21 season Randle has one of the worst follow up seasons for 2021/22. Many fans call for the Knicks to trade Randle, but the simply would not be possible. Julius Randle signed a 4 year/$117,089,280 contract extension over the 2020/21 offseason with $106,444,800 being guaranteed. With declining numbers no team would want to pick up Randle, add the ridiculous contract and it would be a huge financial loss for the Knicks. Trading Julius Randle is not possible whatsoever from a business standpoint as of now.
