West Haven High School has received confirmation to co-op with other schools for their hockey program. The confirmation from the CIAC allows players from Oxford, Seymour and Shelton to play for the Blue Devils. The hockey team are seven time CIAC hockey champions spanning from 1949-1994 as they have gone several decades without a new championship banner. It is unclear how many players this co-op will bring into West Haven, the Blue Devils team is expected to have around 10-12 returning players with not a single one being a senior. The 2022/23 hockey schedule has not been released yet for the 20-game regular season that runs from December through March.
