West Haven Blue Devils Blowout Bridgeport Central 48-0

The West Haven Blue Devils Varsity football team went to the Kennedy Stadium last night to face Bridgeport Central in a preseason match. This was the second and also the last preseason game the team had as they now wait for the regular season kickoff on September 10th at Ken Strong Stadium against Harding.

Blue Devils Quarterback Preston Denno had a truly career night and it is just pure sadness that at the end of the day these stats do not fully count. Denno and the Devils drew blood first and didn't look back as West Haven went on to win in a 48-0 blowout. Overall the starting varsity players were pulled when it was 35-0 so even the backups were able to just absolutely dominate Bridgeport.

Quite frankly it is just downright embarrassing on how bad Bridgeport was in this game, they had nothing going for them whatsoever. This is the only time that these teams will meet in all of 2021. The Blue Devils are set to play ten regular season games as they hope to make playoff football after sub .500 seasons along with struggles the past several seasons.
