Tyler Kolek made a name for himself in the in-season tournament, which helped propel the New York Knicks to a championship. Since his impressive run, Kolek has balanced between the NBA Knicks and G-League Knicks.

On Sunday, the 24-year-old had himself a 53 point day for the Knicks, marking one of the craziest stat lines we will see in the modern league. Sunday morning saw the 6-foot-2 standing guard post 42 points for the G-League Westchester Knicks. Sunday night would then have Kolek drop a causal 11 piece with the NBA New York Knicks, ending what was likely a very tiring day.
And that’s exactly why you don’t skip leg day!
Kolek was 19-for-26 combined in field goals and 12-for-17 downtown with 12 assists. Let me also add that his 11 points with New York came in just 5 total minutes of court time against the Wizards, making the rotation player average just over two points-per-minute in the game.
On the Westchester side, it was a historic day as Kolek became the first player in franchise history to record a 40-point, 10-assist game for Westchester.
Overall, Kolek is in the midst of year two in the NBA. In a combined 99 games at the highest level, Kolek is averaging 9.9 minutes and 4.4 points with 2.3 assists – although these overall stats are a little deflated due to substantially less playing time in 2024/25. Kolek is averaging 4.4 points and nearly 12 minutes per-game this season in 58 games total.
