Thomas Porto and Nico Bruneau Provide Light in Devils 6-2 Loss

The West Haven Blue Devils faced the Fairfield Warde Mustangs last night for the second game of the season. Both teams met several weeks ago where the co-op team blew out the westies 10-2. This game West Haven played a lot better defensively and on the offensive aspect they put up a two slot. The Blue Devils would lose 6-2 and frankly it is not as bad as it seems, yes it’s a blowout but the defense played a lot better in puck control along with Javed Ullah getting key saves. Goals from West Haven came from rookie Thomas Porto, who scored his first career goal and put West Haven on the board followed by a second goal by Nico Bruneau, who has been heating up on this away trip.

West Haven will end their several game away trip 0-3 and overall 0-6 on the season. The Devils will be back at Bennett to face East Haven co-op who currently sit 5-0 with a 6:00pm puck drop time this Wednesday.
