Samuel Bolduc's Contract Extension Brings Low-Risk High-Reward For Islanders

Yesterday it was announced that the New York Islanders signed Samuel Bolduc to a 2-year / $800k 1-way deal contract extension.

A question now stands if Bolduc can develop to New York’s liking to feel comfortable enough in his abilities entering the 2024/25 season.

Frankly this is a low-risk signing, there’s not a lot of money locked up and the 22-year-old could be a solid defensive asset.

Bolduc made his NHL debut last season as a fill-in for multiple injuries, playing in a total of 17 games and scoring twice while racking an assist, he be +5 by season’s end.
