The New York Rangers are coming off of a 1-0 defensive-based slug-fest against the Philadelphia Flyers.
Rangers' star goalie Igor Shesterkin was credited with the 19 save shutout over the Flyers, he is responsible for all of New York's six wins this season.
The MSG team is 6-3-2 with 14 points. That record puts them second place in the Metropolitan Division behind the seven-win New Jersey Devils.
The New York Rangers face the Boston Bruins at Madison Square Garden on Thursday for a 7:30pm matchup.
