Juan Soto is finally starting to look like his former self - and when I mean former I mean how he was a year ago. We saw him bring back the famous Soto Shuffle, but even that hasn’t helped his 2025 campaign.
This year though has been absolutely miserable for Soto, but I don’t need to tell you that.

Soto has historically performed very well in the month of May, but as we all know this 2025 version of Soto is completely different. Soto has a career .284 average in May, meanwhile this season Soto is a Mendoza line hitter in May.
Soto is batting a .202 (18-for-89) with 5 home runs and 13 RBIs. 19 walks compared to 22 strikeouts marks the least amount of times he has been walked so far this season in a month, along with the most strikeouts this season in this month.
Over the Mets recent struggles, Juan Soto’s lack of production has really shown. Over his last 20 games, Juan Soto is 12-for-72 which is a .167 batting average. OBP and slugging gives Soto a .635 OPS, which has brought his season OPS down to a .745, having him currently on pace for a career-worst.
The Mets stand 34-22 on the season, which is good for second place in the NL East as they trail behind the Phillies by 2 games.
