The New Jersey Devils have inked free agent goaltender Keith Kinkaid to a one-year, two-way contract, on Wednesday.
The signing marks Kinkaid’s second stint with the organization after spending parts of nine seasons in New Jersey between 2011 and 2019. In that near-decade span, he played 151 games and notched 64 wins. His most notable season came in 2017-18 when he posted a career-high 26 wins enroute to a Stanley Cup Playoffs appearance.
Over the past four seasons, Kinkaid has only made 14 NHL starts (18 appearances total) for Colorado, Boston, Montreal and the New York Rangers. The journeyman has posted a .895sv% with a 3.02 GAA and a 6-3-4 record.
