Clint Frazier turned from being a fan favorite to a disgraced pin-stripped Yankee who turned on the franchise when the team moved on from him. Frazier has been very critical of his experience with the New York Yankees, regarding the team’s very heavy analytical approach and clubhouse culture.
Frazier has recounted his Yankee experiences from a fake Jordan brand deal prank to New York’s mishandling of his concussions and vertigo. The once prized Yankee prospect also noted how he felt targeted by the staff and some players for being different – after being released by New York, he was signed by the Cubs, where he felt more accepted and able to be himself.
So when you dive deeper it is understandable how and why he turned on the team.
Frazier has not played in the majors since 2023 and appeared in 44 games in an independent league in 2024. Over the course of the past year Frazier has been very active on X and it seems based on the majority of interactions, that Yankee fans have accepted Frazier back with open arms.
Recently, Frazier responded to X user @yankeeslite on his perspective of playing under Aaron Boone for four-years (2018-2021). Frazier responded that Boone is “very much the same” behind closed doors while noting that Boone cares, wants to win and that “the message is delivered to everyone in a passionate way and you leave every meeting knowing what needs to be fixed.”
In a sub tweet X user @nyyanks4life93 asked Frazier why nothing ever gets fixed and why Boone defends players' mistakes. Frazier responded in the most common sense way by saying “because he’s not going to just talk trash about a player and make the situation even worse.”
In another sub tweet, X user @yankeelibrarian asked about Brian Cashman, to which Frazier responded with “Cashman is a gangster” and said he was his favorite member of the front office while on the Yankees.
