A 1-0 Start Snaps Giants' Massive Sub .500 Streak

Writer: Dominic KonareskiDominic Konareski

The New York Giants have not had a winning record since January of 2017, going 22-59 in that span. That losing record would change after week one of the 2022/23 NFL season as the Giants won the season opener against the Tennessee Titans. The Giants were down 13-0 going into halftime facing a possible blowout loss. New Head Coach Brian Daboll was rallying the team during the half plus yelling at QB1 Daniel Jones on the sideline, that gave the team some fire underneath them. New York would put up 13 points in Q3, while putting up 8 in Q4 as they held the Titans to just 7 points total in the second half. The Giants would win 21-20 to start their season off 1-0, ending a streak that lasted multiple years into a new decade.
