Will Levis had an OK rookie season for a quarterback who was regarded as a first-rounder, but without a doubt his 2023/24 campaign was historical.
A 3-6 record in a season that started him on the bench and ended with him on the injury list saw Levis rank third amongst four total QBs taken in the first two rounds (Bryce Young, CJ Stroud, Anthony Richardson, Will Levis), in most offensive categories.
What the Connecticut native did in his debut though was better than any rookie this season, in fact only two other quarterbacks are on the list that Levis added himself to.
Will had one of the best debuts for a QB in NFL history, becoming just the third QB in the league’s history to throw 4 touchdowns in his first game. Levis is also the first player since 1970 to have at least 225 yards, 4 touchdowns and 0 interceptions, and a 65% completion percentage in their first regular season game.
The historic debut by Levis now has his helmet in Canton, Ohio. The helmet worn by Levis during his debut has been placed on display at the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
