West Haven Football Gets Top Five Ranking Ahead Of 2025 Season

With classes getting back in session soon means high school football is right around the corner. For the West Haven Blue Devils, they come into the 2025 season with a chip on their helmets.
Back-to-back state championship appearances with back-to-back losses has given a bittersweet end the past two years to what was overall a very successful season of Blue Devils football. West Haven has had an overall regular season record of 16-4 over the past two seasons with multiple 8-2 records.
Coming into the 2025 season, West Haven is ranked 17th in the state by MaxPreps and has a fourth place ranking for Class LL.
The Blue Devils lost several key players due to graduation, as 2025 will also mark the first time in four-years that Nick Conlan will not be the starting quarterback (graduation).
A new quarterback with almost an entirely new offensive and defensive lining puts the shoreline school in uncertain waters this season. West Haven’s 2025 opponents overall had a combined record of 66-42 (including playoffs) for a .611wp%. Half of West Haven’s 2025 opponents finished the 2024 season either at 5-5 or under.
The Blue Devils kick off their season on Friday, September 12th, against Manchester.
