Forward Adam Sykora will miss the next 4-to-5 months with what is a devastating lower-body injury after exiting Monday’s preseason game against the Devils. Sykora has been highly regarded as a promising Rangers prospect who could’ve been an early call-up candidate if any injuries were to occur.

Overall, Sykora made his NHL debut at the end of last season. The Slovak produced 3 goals, and had an assist for 4 points total across 11 games.

Although Sykora was skating as part of the Rangers AHL group throughout the start of training camp, he had factored himself into the Rangers plans if they needed to call-up a player from Hartford.
