The New York Mets head into their off day with a 2.5 game lead over the Phillies. With New York absolutely getting hammered over the weekend it’s safe to say that this is a much needed off day.

New York is set for an overall easy middle-to-end of June as they will face the Braves starting tomorrow for a three-game set. The Mets will then see PHI for three-games before once again facing Atlanta for a four-game set and then will face PIT to end the month via a three-game away series.
Both the Braves and Pirates are more than eight games below .500% and sit double-digit games out of first place in their respective divisions.Â
These next three series gives the Mets (45-27) prime opportunity to once again expand their lead in the NL East against the Phillies.
The Mets are 6-4 in their last 10 played, and despite being swept, the Mets are the only NL East team with a winning record in their last 10 games. According to CBS Sports, the Mets are currently on pace for a 94-win season.
