A lawsuit was filed today by the New York Knicks organization towards the Toronto Raptors and several members of the Raptors’ organization.
The Knicks allege that Ikechukwu Azotam, who is a former employee, “illegally took thousands of proprietary files with him to his new position.”
Ikechukwu was hired by the Toronto Raptors earlier in the offseason. The Knicks suit alleges that the proprietary information was shared with members of the Raptors, including head coach Darko Rajakovic and player development coach Noah Lewis.
The files include confidential information such as play frequency reports, a prep book for the 2022/23 season along with scouting files.
