Nets Go Into 2023/23 Without KD And Kyrie; How Will The Team Do?

The Brooklyn Nets will go into the 2023/24 season without the power duo of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. We will be able to get a solid look of the state of Brooklyn after their first 10-15 games, nevertheless it can only be up from last year, right?

Both KD and Kyrie demanded trades from the Nets last season, their demands were granted and eventually Brooklyn became both sellers and buyers at the trade deadline while limping to the finish line at 45-37. Brooklyn was only two losses worse than cross-town rivals, the New York Knicks, but both teams had entirely different seasons.

Coming into 2022/23 the Nets were considered as a top tier championship contender; they lost in the first round. The last time we saw Nets basketball in a deep playoff run was 2020/21, when they lost in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

2023 is going to be a rebuilding year without it being an actual rebuild, Brooklyn needs a revamp and I believe that could happen throughout this upcoming season.
