The New York Mets released right-handed pitcher Stephen Ridings early Wednesday morning. Ridings posted a 4.50 ERA in 14 innings pitched this season between A and AAA.
Ridings made his Major League debut in 2021 with the New York Yankees, producing solid baseball in five appearances. He would own a 1.80 ERA in 5 innings pitched; those five games in 2021 stand as the only Major League time he has had.
Now 27-years-old, Ridings becomes a free agent. Most likely the righty will be picked up by another team soon, he has posted a 2.20 ERA in 45 innings pitched in the minors since 2021.
