Kerry Earnhardt And The Intimidator No.3

On the 12th of February, 1993 Kerry Earnhardt drove the famed black Intimidator No.3 at the Daytona Super Speedway.

The race was an 80-lap affair for the NASCAR Goody’s Dash Series, it was the fifth overall event that took place at the track of the year and just 1 of 474 races in the series history.

Kerry Earnhardt, the son of the famous Dale Earnhardt Sr., and brother of multiple Daytona winner Dale Earnhardt Jr., started p22 after a poor qualifying run put him mid-pack.

When the green flag dropped it marked the start for 80-laps of chaos, where only 23 out of the 40 cars that took the green would finish by the end of the race.

Will Hobgood would win the race after leading 16-laps from starting p4 on the grid as pole sitter Lee Farthing would bring his No.25 Mopar car to a p4 finish.

Kerry Earnhardt would bring home a seventh place finish, running a lap down along with four other drivers who crossed the line on lap 79. Earnhardt would compete in a total of 11 races out of the 16 scheduled, he brought home an 11th place finish with 8 TOP 10s.
