Jets To Miss Playoffs With Latest Projections

After a 5-12 season, the New York Jets made drastic changes to both the front office coaching staff and players. Moving on from Aaron Rodgers despite a legendary season for Jet quarterback standards brought in Justin Fields. Add in the major head coaching change with the hiring of Jet alumni Aaron Glenn and you have an experienced flamethrower QB and a rookie HC at the helm of Gang Green.
Nonetheless the Jets, who last made the playoffs in 2010, are projected to post one of their worst seasons yet by PFSN.
The Jets are projected to only win two games in 2025/26, posting a 2-15 record. The projected record would be the worst in the 17-game era for New York and the worst in franchise history since their 2020 season when they went 2-14.
PFSN did make the Jets ceiling record as a 7-10 projection, but that would still be little improvement in what would be another playoff-less season.
The Jets are in for their long-term investments with Sauce Gardner and Garett Wilson, who both signed four-year extensions earlier in the week. New York though is still seen as a team with quarterback concerns as Fields is not yet a proven starter and the team also has WR room depth questions.
