Local authorities told The California Post on Monday that there were multiple cops  dispatched at 4:40 p.m., to Geno Smith’s Florida home over an alleged battery.

Cops showed up to the Jets quarterback’s Davie residence, with further information regarding the incident not being made immediately available. A spokesperson for the Davie Police Department did say that “no one was taken into custody on scene.”

Over the course of Sunday night a video of the incident surfaced on an Instagram story, showcasing a woman putting the veteran signal caller on blast before police arrived.

“Today is the DAY! GENO SMITH beat my a** cause he HATES taking care of his special needs kid and can’t be left alone with him because he’d rather watch s*x online and play Call of Duty” was the caption of the Instagram video.

Law enforcement came around the time a woman named Kristen alleged in a video on her Instagram handle @everythingkrisxo that Smith put his hands on her. In the video the woman alleges that Smith “ran outside” and attacked her saying, “Geno just beat my a*s!” while also stating that he broke her computer.

In the video, a handgun could be seen in a sink that is in the garage, appearing to be laying unused in a moment that can only be seen clearly when the video is slowed.

A later posting by the account shows Geno Smith talking barefoot to three police officers with the caption being “Charges PRESSED!”

Nor Smith or the New York Jets organization has responded to the allegations and it has not been announced if any charges have been officially pressed on Smith. (UPDATE: Smith was investigated for alleged battery, but no charges are filed and the case is now closed, per Andy Slater).

During this time the mother of Smith’s son, Seven, defended Geno Smith on Instagram saying, “Geno is and always has been more than capable of taking care of his son,” the woman wrote in the caption on a photo that showed Smith with his child.

Smith is at the beginning of his second stint with the Jets, being originally drafted by them and playing for Gang Green from 2013-16. Smith was traded back to New York this offseason by the Raiders in March and is expected to be the Jets Week 1 starter under center.
