Jazz Chisholm was late and what was the last addition to the 2025 home run derby. In 65 games this season, Chisholm has belted 17 home runs in what is part of a .861 OPS season.

Overall, Chisholm ranks in a 31st-place tie across the league for home runs this season and is tied in 15th-place for American League leaders.

Despite missing a solid chunk early on with an oblique strain, Chisholm has been one of the top producers for the New York Yankees with a 2.6 WAR.

Accepting the invite to the home run derby came as a shock to many that there was even any ideas of Chisholm being added due to this relatively mid-pack number. Chisholm, who had a custom ‘demon slayer’ bat, was ready for war. Unfortunately, that war ended in the first round where he only hit three home runs.

The three home run mark by Jazz marks the lowest home run total in the timed format, which began in 2015.
