Earlier this week, the Kansas City Chiefs signed tight end Kevin Foelsch to an undisclosed contract.

Foelsch, 24, went to the Division II University of New Haven, recording 73 receptions for 660 yards and 16 touchdowns for the Chargers.

The addition of Foelsch to the K.C. roster now means there are seven tight ends on the depth chart. The Chiefs usually carry four TEs on their 53-man, and carry one of their practice squad as well during the regular season.

Foelsch went undrafted in 2024, and would originally sign with the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent. The 6-foot-4 Foelsch would later be signed with the Jets where he participated in training camp for New York, catching passes from Aaron Rodgers. He would then be claimed off waivers by the Eagles, appearing in all three preseason games and would spend most of the season on the practice squad before being released in December.

In three preseason games with Philadelphia, Foelsch recorded three receptions for 20 yards. He is the second player from UNH to be on the Chiefs roster, as former Chargers quarterback Connor Degenhardt spent time with K.C. in 2023 at rookie mini camp.
