Cam Skattebo underwent surgery in Philadelphia last night to repair what was labeled as a dislocated ankle. The promising Giants rookie runner’s season has now come to an end after Week 8.

Skattebo, a legitimate contender for rookie of the year honors, has been a fan favorite and a significant factor to Big Blue’s offense. The 2025 fourth rounder has totaled 410 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns on 101 carries, while also tallying 24 receptions for 207 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Losing Skatt for the remaining 9 games would be a massive blow to the already crippled Giants offense, which has Nabers out with numerous injuries and Darius Slayton with a lingering hamstring injury.

Overall, this Giants season has already been a rollercoaster. An 0-3 start, benching veteran Russell Wilson for Jaxson Dart, beating the Chargers and Eagles and losing a handful of close games and key players, has the Giants sitting at 2-6.
