We all heard the term 'homie-hopper’ in high school and now Rico Garcia could be dubbed as the ‘borough-hopper.’

Garcia, who was DFA’d by the Mets on July 11th, was claimed by the New York Yankees. Garcia made his Yankees’ debut on July 18th, in which he allowed three earned runs in 2.2 relief innings. Garcia was then DFA’d by the Yankees on the 19th and now on the 21st he has been claimed by the Mets.

So the merry-go-round that was the switching of zip codes for Garcia lands him back in Queens. Garcia has pitched in two games for the Mets prior to his first DFA, where he has gone 4.2 scoreless innings with a 0.214 WHIP.

Garcia will most likely go down as a one-and-done Yankee, who provided relief help in what was a bullpen game.
