The West Haven Blue Devils Varsity Football Team are now just one win away from being playoff bound as they now hold a provisional clinch after a 21-14 home win against the Cheshire Rams. The Blue Devils are currently 7-1 through 8-games and 9-weeks of the Connecticut High School Football season, their only loss came in a nail biter week 2 affair against Hamden. The Blue Devils team still have two games left on their schedule as they are yet to face Wilbur Cross and then close their season out at home against Fairfield Prep. The Devils can officially clinch a spot with a win this Thursday against Wilbur Cross, this will be their first regular season game played on a Thursday and they will be doing it on short rest. The Devils went 2-8 in their last season played and despite losing many key players due to graduation and injuries they have emerged as one of the top teams in the league.
