West Haven Blue Devils Football Team Making Early Playoff Push

The West Haven Blue Devils Varsity Football Team has had a truly upbringing of a season so far on their 2021 campaign as they sport a 4-1 win-loss record through their first 6-weeks and 5-games. The Blue Devils have been led by Quarterback Nick Conlon who started 2021 in the QB2 slot, but due to the injured Preston Denno week 2 we saw Conlon be upgraded to QB1 and he fits the starter role perfectly. Conlon has incredible control of the ball and does marvelous fake plays to trick out the other team while also being a true leader of the Blue Devils. Overall West Haven has shown themselves mainly as a running team, but they make it work and I cannot stress that enough as they are the definition of a pure rushing team with many rushing TDs as evidence to that.

The Devils are expected to make the playoffs at this point of the season with only 5-games left as they enter week 7. The Devils went 2-8 in 2019 as they did not play in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With a team that lost many top players due to graduation last season along with having a fairly young team they have made it work. The biggest win so far this season sits on their week 6 game vs Foran where they beat the Milford team 53-0, that is also one of their bigger wins in franchise history. The Blue Devils could easily set themselves up for a possible multi-year run with this talent-filled team.
