A Californian Gas Station Loses $16,000 Due to Pricing Glitch

A gas station located in Rancho Cordova, California, lost about $16,000 in a three-hour span. The gas station experienced a glitch in the pricing system, causing gas to go from $6.99 a gallon to just 69 cents a gallon. An eyewitness said that “It turned into a circus” as countless motorists filled up their tanks, some customers paid as little as $14. This glitch ended after the three-hour span and led to the station’s manager John Szczecina to be fired.
