Rangers And Kaapo Kakko Agree On 2-Year, $4.2M Deal

The New York Rangers have agreed to terms with Forward Kaapo Kakko on a two-year contract worth 4.2 million. The deal with the former No.2 pick in the 2019 draft carries an annual salary cap of 2.1 million. Kakko is entering his age 22 season has the fairly young player still has a lot to prove after many have considered him 'overrated' so far. Last season featured 7 goals and 11 assists in 43 games, Kakko also had 2 goals and 3 assists in 19 games during the Rangers playoff run. In 157 career NHL games, Kakko has put up 26 goals and 32 assists.
