29 innings.

29 consecutive innings of scoreless baseball for New York.
The lead the Yankees have built up in the AL East has now come crumbling down to 2.5 game lead over second place Tampa. It is worth mentioning that the Blue Jays are only 3 games back on the Yankees now and that the Red Sox have closed what was a 9.5 game gap down to 5.5 games.
The Yankees (42-30) are in the midst of their worst scoreless streak since 2016, which includes three consecutive shutouts and five straight losses. Overall, the last time the Yankees scored 5 runs or fewer in a six game span was in August of 1968.
New York entered their home series against the Angels after Los Angeles allowed 24 runs throughout their last five games played. So, obviously the Angels pitchers are looking to look like the second coming of Cy Young against the Yankees.
Despite the Yankees recent struggles, you need to remember that it is only June and this is just a five game stretch of what is a 162 game regular season. Teams build division leads for a reason: So they can stumble and still not be in a hole in the standings.
Ever since 2020 I feel like we have seen the Yankees get in what is a 10-20 game rut during the summer months. The important thing is that they always recover.
