New York Rangers Are Back In The Playoff After A Several Year Absence

The New York Rangers are back in the NHL Playoffs for the first time since the 2016/17 season. In that several year drought the team went 181-150-40 (.487%) And that is counting this most recent regular season where the team stood second best in the Metropolitan Division, they went 52-24-6. Those 52-wins gave the New York team their best season since 2014, in that time they have gone through three total head coaches. Their third and current HC, Gerard Gallant looks like he may be in the big apple for quite some time as the Rangers are set to play the Penguins in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, this was his first season coaching the team. The Rangers start the series on May 3rd, 2022 at MSG for the first two games before they head on the road where they could win the series.
