Chris Streveler played in all three of the New York Jets preseason games, coming in as a relatively unknown QB he would make his name known to every New York sports fan. Streveler did not take a single rep in Jets’ camp and still came into the first preseason game against the Eagles with positive explosive work.
In the game vs the Philadelphia Eagles the formally undrafted QB went 6/9 passing for 62 yards and throwing 2 TDs, but the most impressive feat in that game was when he led the Jets to scoring the game winner with 16 seconds left. Preseason game two against the Atlanta Falcons featured an 8-for-11 performance from Streveler. Coming in with New York down by 16 he would lead the team to victory with 119 passing yards and a touchdown. Game three was the New York v New York rivalry as the Giants took up the Jets at MetLife. Streveler would come in for the Jets in what was, at that point a back and fourth game. The QB3 would throw for 96 yards, going 10-for-13 passing and had 2 TDs, leading the Jets once again on a game winning drive as they scored via a passing touchdown from Streveler with just 22 seconds left.
Despite the amazing outings from Chris Streveler the New York Jets would end up releasing him a day later after the Jets-Giants game.
