New York Sports Show creator and host Dominic Konareski announced early Friday that he will be running in the Sodi World Series full time for the weekly racing series in hopes to make the championship roster in late 2021. This comes just several days before the 2021 season opener which will take place on Wednesday, January 6th. Dominic Konareski will be a owner driver as he will field the #57 kart for Konareski Motorsports (Car number subject to change) With its primary sponsor being New York Sports Show followed by associates West Haven Veterans Museum & Learning Center, Rent A Racecar and DiecastBuffet. Konareski will be competing in a non-points-paying race on Tuesday , January 5th.
Konareski stated "It is a very great opportunity to go out there with some of the best kart racers in the state every week, I truly thank God for this." "We will give it our all week in and week out" when asked on his goals he said "We are coming in as a rookie, our goal right now is to take Monday as an extended practice session and aim for a top15 on Wednesday, overall though on the season, our goal is just to run solid each week and try to be a contender."
Konareski will also have a cross on the sponsor section of the car in honor of his late cousin, Walter who lost his life several years ago as Konareski will be racing with a heavy heart.
