Joey Gase Motorsports Set To Make Very Weird NASCAR History At Pocono

Joey Gase Motorsports is doing something that has only been done a handful of times since the early 2010s. The O’Reilly Series team is bringing three different OEMs to Pocono this weekend. JGM is bringing a Chevrolet, Ford and a Toyota, to the tricky triangle as the team has collected manufacturers like Pokemon cards.

Joey Gase Motorsports will field the Nos. 35, 53 and 55. The JGM No.35 Chevy will be piloted by Carson Ware, the No.53 Toyota sees the return of Natalie Decker, and the No.55 Ford is driven by owner-driver Joey Gase himself.

According to records, this is the first time in the NASCAR O'Reilly Series since SS-Green Light Racing in 2010 that a three-car team has entered into a race with each car as a different manufacturer. NASCAR typically sees underfunded teams in the lower levels mix and match manufacturers throughout a season, but racing three different in one race creates a very unlikely (and random) historical feat for the first time in nearly two decades in that series.

Overall, this is the first time since August 14th, 2021, since this has happened in any of the three top series of NASCAR (BJ McLeod Motorsports).

This Pocono race also marks another week that Mike Harmon Racing withdrew their No.74 to team up with JGM. Mike Harmon Racing will be helping out the No.35 this weekend.

Overall, Joey Gase Motorsports has entered at least one car in every O’Reilly Series race in 2026. Chad Finchum currently holds the best finish for the team, which is a 17th place lead-lap finish he notched at EchoPark (Atlanta) with New York Sports Show as a multi-place associate sponsor. Joey Gase holds the most starts for the team in 2026 at 12, with the upcoming Pocono race looking to be his 13th start of the season. Gase currently sits 30th in O’Reilly Series points with 112 points (-658 on leader).

Joey Gase Motorsports moved to a three car team from a two car team for 2026, adding the No.55. In 33 car entries across all numbers this season, JGM has 6 DNQs and an average finish of 30.3 going into Pocono.
