Just days before the season opener, the Jets were dealt with devastating news.
Starting right guard Alijah Vera-Tucker reportedly suffered a significant arm injury and is now facing the possibility of undergoing surgery, which could end his season before Week 1 even kicks off.
The type of injury and to which arm it occurred to is unknown, but it has been reported that Vera-Tucker is seeking a second opinion. It is speculated that the injury took place during Tuesday’s practice, where the RG was seen taking part in team drills.
AVT has only appeared in 43 out of a possible 68 games since being drafted, due to multiple injuries in the upper and lower body. New York picked up AVT’s fifth-year option in April of 2024.
