The New York Jets are bringing Nick Folk back to MetLife Stadium. Earlier today it was announced that the Jets have signed the veteran kicker.

Before signing Folk, the Jets waived rookie kicker Caden Davis.

Folk previously played 7 seasons from 2010-16 with Gang Green, appearing in 104 games. Over that span, Folk converted on 175-of-213 field goal attempts (82.2%) and made 99% of extra point attempts. His 729 total points ranks second on New York’s career list.

Now 40-years-old, Folk is coming off of a season where he appeared in 14 games for the Titans and led the league in field goal percentage at 95.5%. Despite coming off of one of his best career seasons and being a Jet legend, it is expected that Folk will still have to compete with rookie Harrison Mevis for the kicking job.
