Last night during the New York Yankees-Boston Red Sox game FOX Sports flashed a graphic for several seconds, that graphic was seen as just a sports graphic, but to others it was seen as offensive. The graphic showed the Yankees logo along with the Red Sox logo in square boxes hovering over two sites.
The game was being played at Yankees Stadium in the Bronx, located in New York, so the graphic was of a New York site. That site where the graphic was placed was on the same spot where the World Trade Center was, better known as the Twin Towers, a business center that was attacked on September 11th, 2001 that killed over 1,000 people. The graphics were over where the two mighty towers once stood, now a memorial reflecting pool is in the place of where the world changed forever. Many were outraged by the graphic as the design showed a level of disrespect unexplainable to the country and the people affected by the attacks. As of now FOX Sports has not commented on the graphic.
