Former New England Patriots OG Rich Ohrnberger revealed in a recent interview that he intentionally got into a car crash to avoid being cut.
In the interview Ohrnberger said that
“I’m gunna hit this car. It’s better to pay the insurance than embarrass myself.”
The Patriots Offensive Guard was running late to a team meeting and out of fear of Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick being mad that would possibly lead to him (Ohrnberger) being cut from the team.
Ohrnberger said that it was not a big crash, comparing it to a fender bender as all he needed was an excuse on why he was late.
