Jordan Travis had to medically retire prior to Week 1 of this season. The FSU product was drafted in 2024 by the Jets in the fifth round, but would never appear in any game of sorts with what proved to be a career-ending injury he sustained in his senior season with Florida State.

Travis recently said on the “Travis Takes Two” podcast on October 24th, that Jets owner Woody Johnson made a flurry of slick comments to the injured QB.

“You ever gonna get healthy?” was one of many comments Johnson allegedly said according to Travis himself. The former quarterback said on the podcast that “It kind of upset me but kind of rolled over my head,” while also adding “I don’t know if he was trying to be slick about it.” Travis pointed to how some older people say whatever comes to their mind.

Woody Johnson came under the spotlight prior to Week 8 when the owner bashed starting QB Justin Fields. “It’s hard when you have a quarterback with the rating that we’ve got.”

Fields proceeded to win the first game after those comments, giving the Jets their first win of the season after an 0-7 start, with six losses being credited to Fields.
